Last week's questions is, "What is ONE Hard Thing you will challenge yourself to do this week?" I said I was going to reach out to my network of friends and acquaintances to refer me to anyone who has a big vision of something they would like to create, (like writing a book, starting a business or career, designing a new stage of life such as retirement/empty nesting or new relationship), to try a sample coaching session. I was going to do this because it felt like a challenge for me to do it and it was in service of me getting the additional clients I need for my coaching certification hours. I did reach out to my friends last week, even though it wasn't comfortable. It is easier for me to offer support than receive it, but I have learned over time that is is equally important to receive as it is to give. So I am grateful for the support.
This week's question is the counterbalance to doing something hard. It is, "What is ONE Thing you can do to enjoy an interest or passion you have?" It could be to make time to paint, scrapbook, workout, go to a class, do yoga, go for a hike, take photos, read a book or write a book - the possibilities are endless. It is great to focus on goals and getting work done, and it is also important to experience as much joy as possible in life.
One thing I am passionate about is stories. I love hearing people's stories, reading books and watching movies. So this week I am going enjoy some of the great movies airing for the Calgary Film Fest. And as an added bonus, I am going to watch a T.V. series being filmed this week. I know I am going to enjoy my week filled with wonderful stories.
As always, I would love to hear from you on what you will do to enjoy and interest or passion you have this week? Please share anything you would like in the comments below, on Facebook or in our Weekly ONE Thing Facebook Group! We might get good ideas from each other.
